I get asked about Email Marketing
When I have discussions with my audience via social media DMs or email I’ve found there are a consistent amount of the same questions I get asked about starting email marketing. The three below aren’t the complete set, but I chose them because they’re need-to-know when you’re first starting out.

Let’s dive into these a bit.
How Often?
You have your Email Service Provider (ESP) chosen, your welcome sequence set up, and your new subscribers are rolling through your automation.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Now what…..⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

It’s time to start writing your email copy for your regular newsletters!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you aren’t launching or selling something specific at the moment, aim for sending out a regular broadcast one per week. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No one likes to get bombarded with a ton of emails (unless it’s a specific sequence) from one person each week!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So, that’s only four regular email emails per month that you’ll need to plan for! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

And, remember to take that longer piece of content and repurpose it into smaller amounts for social media!
Consistency
This is key to your email marketing success! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Pick a day and block out the time you need to write your email for the next week, or four for the month. I like to write mine on Fridays, get it scheduled for Tuesday, and I’m set!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Staying consistent also creates an expectation and excitement with your audience where they will start to look forward to that specific day and your email. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I have a handful of people I follow and get excited when I see an email from them in my inbox. I can’t wait to find out what they’re going to share that week!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So, create a plan (it doesn’t have to be complicated) and schedule and stick to it! When you consistently communicate, you have the warmest audience when you do launch something or promote a product. Which, converts to higher sales!
And What?
Aim for tips in your industry, share a blog post that will help your audience, tell a story that you can relate back to your niche. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Keep them engaged and looking forward to what you’re going to send next. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Often times I stare at my screen not knowing what to write. Everybody goes through this and we’re not always going to feel inspired.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you’re struggling with writer’s block, get on Google and type in 3 tips to [your niche], how to [……], or something else, and see what pops up. There’s no harm in getting inspiration from others out there in your industry without copying and plagiarizing!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

One thing I have started doing is anytime an idea pops into my head, I immediately type it into my notes app, or I’ll forget. Then, when I have the time, I move it over to my PM as an email or blog post idea. That way, at any given time, I can jump on and use one if I’m not feeling inspired.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Don’t make it overly hard on yourself and utilize the tools that you already have to keep the momentum going!
