If it’s keeping you from growing your business or you just dread doing it, consider contracting a Virtual Consultant!

It takes a lot of energy, time, knowledge and plain hard work to run a small business. At some point in your business journey, your growth and success will mean more of your energy and time will be required.  In addition, there are only so many hours in the day and probably more tasks then you can get accomplished AND continue to focus on being in front of your audience, clients, as well as planning and implementing important projects. Or, perhaps you just dread doing certain things that you know you have to do in your business (I have a list of these too!). If you’re having trouble thinking of things you might need help with, below is a list of 5 tasks that you could and probably should outsource to a Virtual Consultant:

Business Management – this can include:

  • Repetitive day-to-day tasks that are time consuming such as data entry, email management, scheduling, cloud-based filing, calendar management, invoicing and more.
  • Spruce up your business standard operating procedures (SOPs) to stay in the organizational game. Or, create a new one or two with a Virtual Consultant by your side to organize and implement!
  • Get some guidance and clarity on your client onboarding set-up. A messy process doesn’t look great to your new clients.  Make it seamless and beautiful to increase the value of what you offer.
  • Don’t have an online project management tool? You should seriously consider finding one. And yes, a Virtual Consultant can help you find the right fit for you and your business.

The bottom line: you can do all of your admin work, but do you really want to or have the time?

Social Media Account Management – After content is created – your Virtual Consultant can post to all of your platforms, reply and engage.  If you have templates, have a VC add your content to them.  One less process you don’t have to worry about!

WordPress Maintenance – You get so busy you forget to update your website, or if it’s automated you don’t confirm that the updates have occurred. It’s important to keep everything on your website up-to-date.  Without doing so, errors will occur, you can get hacked, and yeah your website can completely shut down.

Blog Management – you have a lot of blog ideas typed up, but no time to get them on your website.  Maybe you have some ideas or an outline but need someone to go through it all and create a couple of posts, add links and media.

Email Marketing – it’s more important that social media and if you can figure it all out, they all coincide together (along with your blog).  Social Media content is only fresh for a couple of hours, or at most a day.  Yeah, it sits on your page, but you need to consistently drive traffic, create new leads, and gain more clients through email marketing.

These are just a few categories to start with, but as you can see the options you have for help are exponential!  So what are you waiting for? Start making a list of tasks that you just hate doing, feel overwhelmed with, or already know that you need to outsource.  This is your starting point to feel more energized, creative, and gain focus to concentrate on your high-value work!
